The lotus flower is the only flower that seeds and blooms simultaneously. Being rooted in mud, developing in the midst of thick struggle it symbolizes the ability to overcome adversity, challenges, resilience, and rebirth. When the lotus emerges, it cleans the water, transforming its environment. The lotus symbolizes cause and effect teaching us that each action we take will produce a result and that we contain all the material needed to mend/heal unresolved wounds and traumas.
Welcome to therapy - I am grateful to be able to walk side by side with you on this journey, this gentle unfolding of lived experiences that have challenged your resilience and ability to navigate this complex world. Allow me to help guide you in learning more adaptive thought patterns while honoring your needs and aspirations.
Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties helping you identify and shift patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior that have kept you stuck. Therapy is a relationship of growth, evolution and healing. Many people are driven to therapy in a moment of desperation because of suffering in current or past relationships. However, many times the most challenging and hurtful relationship we have is the one with one's self. Allow me to help you through this vulnerable process by making it possible and bearable.
I offer a collaborative and eclectic approach that utilizes psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive behavioral interventions and mindfulness to support you on your journey. If you are seeking a culturally relevant, trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and holistic experience, it would be my pleasure to work with you.
